Bergerie de Radule
Idyllic private bergerie near the Golo waterfalls.

Idyllic private bergerie near the Golo waterfalls. Famous for its cheese and omelettes. A peaceful detour with fresh spring water.
The place
You hear Radule before you see it: the young Golo river chattering over slabs, then cowbells, then the low stone bergerie itself, tucked beside the waterfalls where the valley pauses to catch its breath. This is one of the trail's gentlest moments — pools of clear green water, rounded granite warm under your hand, and a shepherd's hut that has been making cheese here since long before anyone thought walking across Corsica was a leisure activity.
The omelettes are the thing. Order one, add cheese, and eat it by the water while your socks dry on a rock — a lunch that resets morale for days. The Golo cascades below make a tempting dip on a hot afternoon; the water is snowmelt-cold and the yelps of swimmers carry far up the valley. It's a short, easy stretch from here to the comforts of Castel di Vergio, so there's no excuse to hurry.
